These birds are amazing! And they are slowly making a comeback.
However, they still need our help.
The Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership has been on the front lines of sage-grouse conservation for several years and in 2015 it was no different with an epic collaborative conservation effort deciding the fate of the greater sage grouse—an iconic game bird of the American West, whose decline indicates that sagebrush habitat is in trouble. Sagebrush ecosystems are home to more than 350 different species of plants and animals, including such iconic game species as pronghorn antelope and mule deer.
As TRCP Chief Scientist, Ed Arnett explains "It’s still far too early to claim victory for sage grouse, and quite honestly, I think we dodged the proverbial bullet. Without rain over the past few years that improved habitat conditions, we may have seen a different scenario play out in 2015. Recent increases in bird numbers only reflect a short-term uptick; the long-term trend is still one of gradual decline. Drought conditions have returned to many parts of the West and the true test of conservation is yet to come."

The fabric is a blend of 60% combed cotton and 40% polyester that is soft out-of-the-box with ideal stretch for maximum comfort and fit. Printing uses a water-based technique generating a design that is soft and pliable after one wash with no cracking over time and minimal environmental impact compared to typical petroleum-based printing processes.
